The Following are the short course offered

Beginners Course

Introduction to Computers

This course provides an overview of microcomputer applications including computer concepts and hardware, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office XP including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.

 

Objectives:

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

·                  Become computer fluent

·                  Understand and Identify Hardware/Software used by the computer

·                  Be proficient using Operating System, and File Management tasks.

·                  Understand computer security issues and keep them safe from hackers and viruses.

 

 

Certificate in Office Applications

Word level 1:  This course covers the Word skills needed to produce  documents such as letters and reports. This course allows the attendees hands on practical experience with the help and guidance of a learning support officer or trainer.

Word level 2:

Excel Level 1: This course covers basic Excel skills, including opening, closing, saving and printing an Excel worksheet.  The course covers the basic skills needed for using Excel to enter and format data to produce simple spreadsheets.

Suitable for: Those who are new to Microsoft Excel.

 

Excel Level 2: This course covers the skills necessary to use Excel effectively to produce more complex spreadsheets and formula/functions, e.g. math, statistical, financial.

Suitable for:  Those who are familiar with Microsoft Excel fundamental operation and users who have completed the Excel Level 1 course

 

Excel Level 3: This course covers the skills necessary to produce Excel spreadsheets

Suitable for: Those who are familiar with Microsoft Excel's functionality and who have completed the Excel Spreadsheets Level 2.
