To build a cadre of young women and men for effective participation in

decision-making.

Specific objectives for the LBP

1. To identify and prepare young men and women to participate in decision making.

2. To enhance knowledge and provide skills to young women leaders to participate effectively in decision making.

3. To develop and maintain the leadership alumni.

LBP focus

1. Young women and men will be trained in leadership skills. This will aim at developing a cadre of leaders who spontaneously subscribe to gender equality and pro-poor values.

2. Young female councilor will be trained in leadership issues with a specific emphasis on gender equality to ensure enhanced participation in decision-making within their districts youth councils.

3. An Alumni online system will be set up to maintain the alumni.
