Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) is a non-partisan organisation whose mission is to promote gender equality in all decision-making through advocacy, training, research and publishing. Every year, young women are recruited as interns at FOWODE for the internship program.

 

The objectives of the program are:

1. to build a young leadership that has a vision and commitment to gender equality, social justice and social transformation

2. to give young women with a first degree the opportunity to acquire work experience

3. to provide skills to young women in project planning and management

4. to introduce young women to a gendered analysis of institutions so that they can deepen their understanding of leadership

Qualifications.

1. must be between the age of 22-30 years

2. must have graduated not before 2008

3. must be interested in gender and women issues

4. the applicant must be recommended by a women’s organization or by an institution that promotes gender and women issues

5. Must have a bachelors degree in any field.
